What is Review Gating?
Review gating occurs when a business asks for a customer’s feedback and directs a customer leaving positive feedback to the business’ Google Business Profile Reviews Page while directing a customer leaving negative feedback to a different page in an attempt to resolve the issue.
Why Is Our Suggested Feedback Process Not Considered Review Gating?
While this method asks a customer for feedback and segments the response, it does not ask for review.
Positive feedback offers the customer the next logical step, a link to a VIP program or a phone number to make a reservation or place an order.
